Ordinance 116: Fixing Tax Rate for 1926

An ordinance fixing the tax rate for all purposes in the Borough of Darlington, County of Beaver and State of Pennsylvania for the year 1926.

Be it enacted and ordained by the Town Council of the Borough of Darlington, County of Beaver and State of Pennsylvania and it if hereby enacted and ordained by authority of the same:

Sec. 1. That the tax rate for all purposes in the Borough of Darlington for the year 1926, be and the same is hereby fixed at Twelve (12) mills on each dollar of valuation of all property, for Borough purposes, in the following proportions, to wit:

  1. Two (2) mills of said levy for the sinking fund, proportionately for each of the several and respective issues of bonds of said Borough of Darlington, out of which to pay the interest, taxes and principal of said bonds, as they severally become due and payable.
  2. Ten (10) mills of said levy to provide for general Borough

All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.

Ordained and enacted into an Ordinance by the Town Council of the Borough of Darlington, this      day of May A.O. 1926.
