Ordinance #278: Amendments to Ordinance 258 (1957)

An ordinance amending Section 1 and Section 2 of Or­ dinance No. 258 of the Borough of Darlington. 

Pursuant of the authority contained in the Borough Code, the Town Council of the Bo­ rough of Darlington does hereby enact and ordain as follows:

Sec. 1. It is hereby ordained that Section 1 of Ordinance No. 258 be amended so as to read as follows:

  1. a) It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of eighteen (18) years to loaf, loi­ ter, or be upon any public street, alley, or highway of the said Borough of Darling­ ton after the hours of 9 o’clock p.m. Eastern Standard Time, unless such child is accompanied by his or her parent or guardian, or other adult person having care and custody thereof.

Sec. 2. It is hereby ordained that Section 2 of Ordinance No. 258 be amended so as to read as follows:

  1. a) It shall be unlawful for any parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of any child under the age of eighteen (18) years to permit such child to loaf, loiter, or be upon any public street, alley, or highway of the said Bo­ rough of Darlington after the hour of 9 o’clock p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Enacted and ordained into an Ordinance by the Town Council of the Borough of Dar­ lington this 1st day of August, 1957.
