Ordinance 113: Fixing Tax Rate 1923

An ordinance fixing the tax rate for all purposes in the Borough of Darlington County of Beaver and State of Pennsylvania of the year 1923.

Be it enacted and ordained by the Town Council of Darlington, County of Beaver and State of Pennsylvania, and it is hereby enacted and ordained by authority of the same.

Sec 1. That the tax rate for purposes in the Borough of Darlington for the year 1923, be and the same is hereby fixed at fourteen (14) mills on each dollar of valuation of all property, for Borough purposes in the following proportions to wit:

  1. Three (3) mills of said levy for the Sinking Fund proportionality for each of the several and respective issue of bonds of said Borough of Darlington, out of which to pay the interest, taxes and principal of said bonds, as they severally become due and
  2. Eleven (11) mills of said levy to provide for general

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in consistent with the provisions of this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.

Ordained and enacted into an Ordinance by the Town Council of the Borough of Darlington this     day of October A.D. 1923.
