Ordinance 234: Fixing Tax Rate for 1930

An ordinance fixing the tax rate for all purposes in the Borough of Darlington, Beaver County, Pennsylvania for the year 1930.

Be it enacted and ordained by the Town Council of the Borough of Darlington and it is hereby enacted and ordained by authority of the same.

Sec. 1. That the tax or millage for all purposes in the Borough of Darlington, for the year 1930, be and the same is hereby fixed at twelve mills on each dollar or one and twenty hundredths ($1.20) dollars on each one hundred dollars of valuation for the following purposes:

  1. Ten (10) mills thereof to provide for the general expenses of the
  2. Two (2) mills thereof for the sinking fund, proportionately for the several issues of the bonds of said Borough out of which to pay the interest on the said bonds, and the principal thereof, as they severally become due and

Sec. 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.

Enacted and ordained into an ordinance by the Town Council of the Borough of Darlington, this 6th day of January A.D. 1930.
